I drive a 1991 Savage, second hand but has nice punch so I figure the spacer is out (may still be in though). I drive a highway-hawk slashcut pipe and modified carb (hell of a sound!) and I have driven my Sav everywhere. From the Netherlands (below sea level) to the Alps, no probs what so ever! Just pullk the spacer out and test it, you can always put it back in!
